Ministry in California with Christafari

Thank you for reading my blog!! You are the reason why I write every month and share with you to show you how God is doing amazing things
I have had the honor to spend a few months in the USA with Christafari. It has truly been a fruitful month in California and Mexico. We have been ministering at churches, festivals, and Salvation Army Centers.
It blows my mind how God shows up every night, how hearts open up to hear the Good News of hope and life.
How the same message preached of the Gospel continues to penetrate my heart as well. My hope is that where ever you are today in your personal walk with Jesus that you won't grow bored of your relationship with Him. But that you will be intentional, consistent and committed to the transformation that has happened in your life since you said Yes to accepting Jesus.
This California tour some unique things happened in the mission field.

This photo represents the men in the Drug Rehab program of Salvation Army in Bakersfield, CA who all came forward during the prayer of salvation as Pastor Mark Mohr from @christafariband led them. Never get tired of spreading the Good News, it is what saves souls, and the trajectory of these men's lives is forever being changed.

I met Queenie while playing OceanFest, who 10months ago converted from Buddhism to following Jesus Christ and the Lord is using our music in tremendous ways to impact her life and faith. Her choice to follow Jesus has led to family members disowning her.Today she goes to @calvaryoceanside and has been connected to a Christian community and enjoys reading the word. However she shared how she did not feel anything for worship when she goes to church or prayer, as she feels it all sounds like country music. She always loved reggae music and today was the first time hearing about reggae worship through @christafariband.  She is excited to know that reggae worship exists and today our concert has brought her closer in her desire to be able to enjoy worship from the heart. Today was a milestone in her journey as a believer! Glory to Jesus. #heartsofire #NewBeliever #ThisIsHerStory#GodisWritingHerStory

The Summer of 2017 Highlights

How has your summer been so far? Returning back to Central America (Belize and Honduras) with Christafari was impactful, soul-changing, challenging, reflective and humbling. Being officially moved out to L.A. California and settling into the new place has been going great. God is teaching me to rest in Him and to learn to trust Him all over again. All over again? Yes, that is correct. The truth is being a missionary has brought me the greatest growth the last 5 years spiritually. The new change of going full-time as an international missionary, has also put an increase on having to raise double, and reality is support has gone down. Ouch! Yet, I can't deny how I feel gratitude though, because I do feel peace in the midst of these current big changes. I'm reminded of his declaration to the church of Corinth: "Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible... I do all this for the sake of the Gospel, that I may share in its blessings." (1 Cor 9:19, 23)
Being in a new place takes definitely time to adjust, but I am committed, determined, focused, and know that I am going to continue to serve Christ, for I truly feel honored to walk out this faith walk and look forward to have you join the journey!

Lastly I like to share some words from Pastor Mark Mohr, Leader and founder of Christafari:

Our vision is: "Reaching the lost at any cost..."

When we say "reaching," we mean not just going, but sharing and touching. In addition to preaching the Gospel, that means laying hands on the sick and shaking hands with the poorest of the poor in the trash cities of Honduras.

"The lost" to us is not just those who haven't yet met Jesus, but also the backsliders. The word "lost" also encompasses the "last" (remote tribes and unreached people groups) and the "least" (like the prisoners we just ministered to in Belize and those we fed and clothed in Tegucigalpa).

"At any cost" is by far the hardest pill to swallow. It's what we have to remind ourselves of every single day in the field so we can power through sleepless nights, back pain, uncomfortable lodging,  questionable meals, sickness, unbearable heat, arduous travel days, finances, and other countless sacrifices. But all of these pale in comparison to what Jesus endured for us, or what Paul faced. And they are far outweighed by the eternal value of a soul (let alone four thousand)!

Experiencing Europe as a missionary

Hello!

I have just landed 24 hrs ago back into the USA. Still fighting off the jet lag, but I couldn't wait and share what happened. Currently I am stationed in my new residence in L.A. California where I am starting off my official full-time season with Christafari band. I am beyond ecstatic to say that this last tour was filled with so many highlights! Our team consisted of people from Brazil, hawaii, USA and myself from Netherlands. We were two weeks in the following countries: Czech Republic, Poland and United Kingdom.

Some things I learned while ministering in Czech Republic is that about 95% considers themselves atheist, yet everywhere we were, you could find the influence of Christianity and catholicism in old buildings, artwork and churches. Then in Poland we played at the Be Like Jesus Festival holding around 10,000 people, where majority consider themselves Christian/Catholic and then in England we had the experience of playing at New Life Church. Which was absolutely an impactful outreach as we did a concert Saturday night, followed by Sunday worship services. Over a 2 weeks spam, we managed to hold 8 concerts, share the Gospel of Jesus 8 times and witnessed hands  go up every night when asked if they would receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

We played in an inner city neighborhood at New Life Church, which was literally across from this Islamic Mosque. I also witnessed that Sunday morning a man of the mosque who entered in the church to sit in a Sunday morning service!! Jesus has truly a way of making a way in people hearts. Glory to God!
