We wish you a wonderful Happy New Year all the way from Trinidad and Tobago!

Ministry Highlights 2024 in Trinidad

Nikita Edwards December 31, 2024

2024 was challenging to say the least from being tested in patience, endurance, newly weds celebrating 2 years while adjusting to a little one in our midst as well as answering the call to minister as a missionary here in Trinidad. Nonetheless, we made it and we are committed to make Christ known with our lives and ministries. Thank you for anyone who prays consistently and who commits to supporting financially. My prayer for you is that you will grow in 2025 in your walk with Jesus Christ and that you will be in alignment with His will for your life.

Started the year with school tour ministries with ISCF (Inter School Christian Fellowship) school tours through Trinidad. It is not an easy mission to minister to youth, but Thank God for the doors being opened so we can come in and present the Gospel.

Youth Summer Camp was all about speaking to the next generation about living a life for Christ and that it is the best decision I took.

Speaking to the teenagers of ISCF during their camp night sessions. Pray that youth will wholeheartedly live for Jesus in the midst of peer pressure and worldly influences.

Joining the CRU ministry here in Trinidad part-time has been another wonderful way of serving while training missionaries to become fully funded.

And more school and youth programs were attended this year 2024. I can truly say Trinidad is going through a real heartbreaking issue and that is gang violence and murders. Many young people are being snatched up by Satan and his works of destruction to kill and steal and destroy, BUT God is able to bring change through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is able to open deaf ears and blind eyes and hardened hearts. I will continue to trust God for Trinidad and to see a breakthrough and end to the many killings that are taking place here.

I definitely have found that speaking to women, has been something I have been developing little by little. I naturally find it easier to minister to teenagers or young adults. But I am open to minister also to women older than me or from a different walk in life.

Some of you asked whatโ€™s going on with my music ministry. Well I have been busy but I managed to record in 2023 and now you simply have to wait for the release in 2025 early this winter season. Another offering to God

We joined a new church in Trinidad and through the church we have ministered our testimonies and have found opportunities to serve.

Trinidad and Tobago Ministry Highlights 2023

Nikita Edwards January 10, 2024

Kerron sharing to the teenagers, we pray that seeds were deposited in these young lives

We spent our summer at various youth camps speaking on identity, living for Christ and sharing the Gospel

Sharing my testimony with the youths of Trinidad and inviting them to take their relationship with Jesus Christ serious

Dance ministry has been a ministry I have been honored to do for years now and I was blessed in 2023 to have led in dance ministry once again.

Never forget that ministry workers need to be discipled and encouraged too. I thank God for an opportunity to ministry through my testimony that God gave me.

Ministry with Christafari in Trinidad was a great time to reconnect truly.

One of the outreaches in Trinidad was at the new home church I now attend. It is a joy to continue to labour for Christ as fellow believers. Your support in supporting us here in Trinidad as missionaries is a blessing and answered prayer.

In Barbados with Christafari during a two week mission in the Caribbean, while 5 months pregnant :). It was a true joy of reconnecting through ministry together.

Our personal testimonies hold tremendous powerโ€”they reflect the transformative work of God in our lives and can inspire and encourage others. The Bible emphasizes the importance of sharing our testimonies as a means to glorify God and build up the body of Christ. In 2023 on multiple occasions I was faced with the opportunity to share my testimony of overcoming shame of an abortion as a teenager, overcoming same-sex struggle attraction as a Christian and answering the call as a missionary for Christ. We must not be silenced but share more is what I truly believe. So many believers still remain stuck in their past and remain silenced.

In 2023 we started an online devotion weekly on Youtube called Faith Life Music. The purpose is to show dem, tell dem, love dem with the Good News that Jesus Christ came to bring along with biblical perspectives on real life matters. Click HERE to join the community.

Please pray for Trinidad and Tobago. Right now the murder rates among young people and killings between gangs is just crazy and truly saddening. We need a breakthrough from God to intervene in this generation.

Happy New Year from us to you and a Sabbatical announcement

Nikita Edwards December 31, 2022

It has been two weeks since Kerron and I located to Trinidad and Tobago ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡น . We just spent our first Christmas ๐ŸŽ„  together, our first time being together without having to say goodbye again, and the first time for me taking a sabbatical after 10 years of full-time ministry. It is truly a season of new beginnings and transition in so many ways. We are taking time to be still as we desire God to order our steps for our marriage and ministry aspirations unto God.

What's Next?

Next is a pause from ministry for me. A time of being still and seeking the Lord for this new chapter in life that I have embarked on. I am excited, anxious, thrilled, amazed all at once. Walking by faith for God to provide in all needs during the sabbatical. Expecting God to order our steps as a married couple and to lead the way in the new aspirations for ministry that we anticipate for the future.

But first I will be disconnecting January 1- March 30 from all social media platforms, casual, formal and informal contact and will learn to enjoy the gift of stillness by embarking on my sabbatical and spiritual retreat through fasting, prayer, resting, reading and to grow closer and intimate in my relationship with Christ.

God bless you and your family and may 2023 be above and beyond you could imagine with God's guidance!

โ€œBut blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.โ€
